The 2010 Texas OES Rescue Picnic
was a howling success.
We had overcast skies, a nice breeze, a delicious luncheon prepared by Stephanie and Mike which included great BBQ ribs, sausage, chicken, tasty side dishes, desserts and drinks for all.

Many Thanks to Stephanie and Mike for graciously opening their home to the Rescue group and all of the Adopters and Foster friends.
It was estimated that 50 Dogs were present with 54 two legged uprights.
The day was filled
with getting licks and kisses from many OES, meeting new OES lovers and renewing
acquaintances, exchanging rescue stories, grooming demonstration,
agility demonstration, professional photographer for you and your
dogs shots. There were opportunities to purchase raffle tickets for
fantastic donated items, purchase Stoneware mugs and TxOESR Tee
Shirts, a wonderful silent auction was held which helped with our fund
raiser. An
Annual Membership Meeting with a short TxOESR Board meeting for
re-election of officers was conducted.
We certainly enjoyed seeing all of our Adopters and Foster friends
and their
sheepers again, and deeply regret that some of you could not
attend. We'll have one next year around the same time, so mark your
calendar early.
