My name is Arthur!  I was adopted into a family with a Mom, a Dad, two kitties and Duncan, my TxOES rescue brother.  My foster parents, Bob and Laurie, were great.  With their help, I overcame some serious issues.  I was matted, half-starved, and had a cyst on my shoulder.  I didn't even really understand that I couldn't go the restroom inside.  With Bob and Laurie's help and the example of my foster brothers, I learned very quickly.  Bob and Laurie and their friend Steve took me back and forth to the vet.  I was checked out from head to toe and was found to be in good health, despite being terribly underweight.  The vet took care of my teeth and my cyst at the same time.  I was groomed and started to look like a handsome dog.  I loved being with my foster parents because they made sure that I got healthier and stronger daily.  I gained nearly twenty pounds while I was with them.  I loved to play with my foster mom and dad and my foster brothers.

Now that I am in my forever home, I get lots of love and attention from everyone but the cats!  (They don't hiss at me, but they aren't interested in chewing on bones either!)  I'm my dad's boy, and I love getting pets from him.  He and I hang out on the patio together a lot.  I also love chewing on bones, playing tug of war, squeaking my squeaky toys, playing in the dog park, and walking side-by-side with my brother, Duncan.  I still need to gain some more weight, but I know that will come with time.  I know that I'm in my forever home, and it feels good!
