This is Donna, Steve and Mikey at the TEXAS
Annual Rescue Picnic held in Dallas, Texas. Mikey was a LONE STAR
rescue guy, and at time of adoption, was being fostered by Cindy and Terre
(when they were affiliated with LS and before they co-founded TEXAS).
Steve and Donna's beloved OES, Samantha, had crossed over to Rainbow Bridge only a week before the Picnic. |
| Cindy and Terre had traveled from Houston to attend the Picnic, bringing with them Betsy and Dalton. |

If my memory serves me correctly, it took Steve about 15 seconds to fall in love with Betsy. I think it may have taken Donna slightly under 20 minutes. (Look at Betsy working on Donna by sitting in her lap. I think Betsy is letting Donna know that she's going home with her.) |

Donna and Steve filled out an Adoption Application for Betsy at the Picnic. They already had vacation plans for the next week, but are due in Houston after their vacation to pick up the new member of their family. Betsy could not have
picked out a better "forever" home than this! |
