A Tribute to

When Betsy-Dale was rescued by Cindy and Terre, she was half starved, horribly matted and had heart worm.
With their tender care, Betsy-Dale survived and she made a full recovery.
We will always be grateful to Cindy and Terre to make it
possible for Betsy-Dale to become such a big part of our life.

BETSY-DALE RESCUED                              BETSY-DALE ADOPTED

Steve and Donna fell in love with her at the annual Rescue Picnic
and decided on the spot to give Betsy-Dale the “forever home” she deserved.
They said, "She will never have another unhappy day in her whole life."

FIRST DAY WITH DONNA                                     SHAMPOO DAY WITH STEVE

She was with us for less than five years before we lost this beautiful girl to cancer but in those
five years the sweet girl imbedded herself deeply in our hearts and our lives.
She lived on 40 wooded acres with her two humans, two cats and
two of her best “let’s go for a walk” friends; Mikey and Bonnie.

TUG-A-WAR WITH MIKEY                                    MIKEY    BETSY-DALE    BONNIE

Betsy-Dale loved to play tug-of-war with Mikey and loved to wade in the water.

ON A WALK AT THE PICNIC                                 WADING - HER FAVORITE THING

Betsy-Dale crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on May 7, 2005; just after our annual
Texas OES Rescue Picnic where she got a chance to visit with all her two legged and four legged friends.
Her time with us was far too short and we miss her terribly.
We loved her for what she was … head strong but affectionate.
It was her determined personality that allowed her to survive for a
year in the horrible conditions from which she was rescued.

Betsy-Dale, we miss you.
