BUDDY TO THE RESCUE
Buddy drove a long way from Texas to Roswell and adopted Brandy. Here is what Buddy wrote:
BRANDY’S STORY
Brandy is one special sheepdog. I think she is possibly the smartest dog I have ever owned. She has a personality of her own and is the most loving pooch you could ever want. She definitely has taken to me. She must know I was the one that rescued her. She is constantly having fun and playing in the back yard with Annie, her little playmate. They have invented games they play. They are amazing to watch.
Brandy will go and hide a shoe and Annie will go find it and bring it back for Brandy to hide again. They also take sticks and run around the yard, passing it off to each other . I am going to film some of the stuff they do because they are hilarious.
Brandy just loves kids and rarely barks at all. When I first got her she would jump all over you she has since quit that. I think she was just happy to be out of that cage. She knows many commands will sit, fetch, get her feed pan (which she will not use). I tried feeding them separately when I first go them, but Brandy would take the two pans and pour them out on the concrete and them separate them into two piles with her nose. It would take her about 10 minutes to do this. Now I let her make two piles on her own. She will eat her food but will not touch Annie's. I have never seen a dog do this in my life. I have her clipped down now for the summer months and look forward to a long time with her. We go for walks and we have several acres of open field next to our house where they can play.
ANNIE’S STORY
When I went to get Brandy, little Annie was also at the Roswell animal shelter and was out of her kennel. She grabbed onto my pants leg and wouldn’t let go. She looked up at me with those big black eyes and I knew instantly that she had to come home with me too. I believe Brandy and Annie were destined to be kept together because they are such good friends.
At night, Brandy will take the blanket and spread it out for both of them to sleep on. I truly enjoyed them since they have come home with us They both love to go for walks. We have a lot of open area around our property for them to play in and they take advantage of it all of the time.
