Yup, we even let Aggies adopt our babies <g>.  And this guy could not have gone to a BETTER home!  YESSSS!

This baby came to TXOESR from Mexico, where a TRUE "Rescue Angel" saw his potential and cared for him until he was ready to make the trip to the USA.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply and keep you updated on Duncan. I was waiting till I finally got around to developing some pictures. He is a great dog, and we are quickly becoming inseparable. He is my shadow at all times when inside the house. When I'm cooking dinner he is laying in front of the fridge, when i watch television he is laying on the floor beside me, and when i am studying he is chewing his bone on his bed beside me. He has gotten along with my roommates lab mix puppy, Trip, very well. He allows Trip to climb all over him without ever really reacting. He also gets along wonderfully with my mother's Bearded Collie who loves to chase balls. She quickly had Duncan clumsily chasing after her as she nimbly retrieved her ball. Funnily enough, she gets it and then drops it when he catches her. I think she is a little intimidated by his size. Right after I brought him home, I had him checked out at the Texas A&M veterinary clinic. He was in great shape, but they decided to re-administer his shots just to be sure and so that he was on an annual schedule. He was definitely the star of the show in the waiting room, with everyone "ooohhhing" and "aaahhhing" over what a handsome dog he was. I also had him bathed and groomed on the same day. The groomer said he spent most of the day getting the knots out cause we didn't want to shave off too much of his beautiful coat. Since then, I have managed to keep him fairly knot free with a grooming session in the evening. While I brush him he just lays there and lets me do whatever I'm doing. He seems to enjoy every minute of it. He also enjoys our 2 mile runs every evening. As soon as I get back from practice, totally exhausted, he is ready and raring to go. He runs beautifully on a lead and keeps a perfect pace. He has slowly started to obey commands. Right now, we are pretty good with "sit", "lay", and "go to bed", but "come" and "down" definitely need work. Thankfully, he has not chewed on anything but his nylabone, which he loves, and his pull rope. He is also becoming very protective. Any sound outside alerts him and is met with a thunderous bark. Just the other day a salesman for a telephone company came by and while I was talking to him, Duncan sat beside me, fixed intently on this man and quietly growling as if to let him know that he was there. Perhaps, he knows a shady character when he sees one. Thank you so much for all of your help in rescuing such a great dog and sending him my way. He has already become this man's best friend. I will keep you updated with some more pictures as soon as I get them developed.

Thanks again,
Gareth
