Home to Stay!! Hi Everyone: I know all of you know about me because many of you are responsible for my healthy status! Yes, that’s right, all of the heartworm tests came back negative about 2 weeks ago and I am feeling FINE. I never imagined I would be living in a town called Tomball but, probably even an OES’s worst nightmare would be living with 2 schnauzers. They look much like sheep but are just about as bossy as a dog could get. But, you know, I have to admit, after almost 9 months I can finally say that I feel at home. Those little guys stay in line, most of the time and I have lots of room to wander. At my age, I am not interested in running all of the time but do appreciate the freedom of being able to roam on 3 acres. I still have enough spunk in me to chase a few squirrels and drink out of the pond, hoping to catch one or two of those big goldfish. Well, there is always tomorrow. My foster folks have become my adoptive parents and I know that I am here to stay. They really love me, as do the schnauzers, and I have a built –in people grandmother as well. We all spend time together and there is no pressure to do anything but eat, sleep and relax. It’s a long way from where I came and I am happy and thankful to everyone that helped me survive! Love you all! Dyce P.S. I apologize for the pictures but I really don’t like my picture taken. I am thinking I may be sensitive to the light in the camera or perhaps it is just the vanity that hits us all as we get older! |
