We must be the luckiest new sheepie parents
around!! We adore our latest rescue, Grace. She came to us about two
weeks ago and has been the perfect angel. She joins two other rescues
from Texas, Maggie and Dylan. Steve told us that Grace, formerly Sheba,
was the sweetest little girl and he was absolutely right! Grace is three
but seems younger in many ways. She seems to discover something new
everyday. Just yesterday she found the toy box and will go and choose something to shake and carry around. She has also learned the joy of chewing on a nylabone. Grace is very laidback. Sometimes I have to go and look for her only to find her curled up in a chair. I feel like we have the best of both worlds with puppy qualities and the ease of an older dog. Maggie and Dylan are getting along great with their new sister. We have had no problems with the three of them. Dylan has some health issues so it was very important that the new dog be able to ease into our home without causing much stress. We couldn't have asked for a better transition. Grace is full of kisses. She loves to climb into your lap and cuddle. She is considerably smaller than our other two, but she makes up for it in spirit. It does my heart good to see her romping through our yard with such energy. She learned to use the dog door right away. She will be joining Maggie on the agility field very soon. I think she is a smart girl! Thanks to Steve and Donna for fostering this special girl. We have traveled great distances in the past to adopt dogs and to deliver some to other homes. Steve was kind enough to bring Grace to us. I know it was hard for him to give her up........she is just the best!! Thanks to everyone involved in Grace's rescue!! Bill and Terri S. |
