Here are
some pictures of Gabby. Gabby has done very well here. She
was timid for the first 1-2 days then she really started coming out of
her shell. Thanksgiving we had 4 additional adults and 5 children here
for the holidays. She was happy to sit on any lap that was available.
Her previous owner had told us that she was very timid around men, but
our son and son-in-law did not bother her at all. Our son is very large
and she sat by him or on him most of the week end.
Our grandkids are 8, 7, 6, 4, and 9 months. She never acted like she
was being threatened and seemed to look on them as someone else to pet
her. She dodged the baby in her walker and sneaked food from her tray
just like all the others did. She is rather quiet, but seems to be
beginning to find her voice. This morning she was giving the deer what
for. She likes to sleep on the sofa, but doesn't get on the bed. We
have cats everywhere and she doesn't pay much attention to them unless
they are sitting in her spot on the sofa.
WARNING NOTICE: IF YOU CAN'T TAKE A 40 LB LAP DOG THIS DOG ISN'T FOR
YOU. She had her vet check and everything turned out good. She is
now on heart worm preventative. She was to the groomer about 1-2 wks
ago. She lets me brush her, but doesn't like brushing around her back
side. She is a very nice dog. I don't think that she would have any
problems with kids as long as they aren't extremely noisy and crazy.
She went on her first walk with us Saturday. She was a little unsure
about that. She gets along well with our dogs, the neighbors dog, and
our granddog. Someone will be very lucky to get this animal. She is 7
years old, but she doesn't act or look 7.
Hopefully we can find a new permanent home for this really NICE dog.
