Hank wandered up to the farmhouse one day. He had been "on the road" for quite a while judging from his sore paws. The Good Samaritan who lived there contacted us, and fostered Hank until we could find a home for him. He's now in his "forever home" and is well loved. |

Just a quick message to update you on Hank. He is adjusting beautifully to us and the other dogs. He sure is a handsome guy and we have not had any problems. He gives kisses and already knows where we keep the dog cookies. He likes to hide his cookie rather than eat it, but hasn't learned to be sneaky about it. The other dogs watch him and steal the cookie when he's not looking! :-) We took a trip to Petco today to get a new collar. He sure loves the car! He is quite well mannered and sweet, but needs some basic obedience lessons. He goes into his crate nicely during the day, but bedtime is another story! On the first night he cried, barked, and whined until we brought him upstairs (He has to learn about stairs too...) . I think he wanted to be with us and the other pups so we let him sleep on the bedroom floor with them. He's a good boy all night long. Can't wait to see his coat grown in. He stands so tall and proud! He'll be a real looker, not that he isn't already. I've taken some pictures and will send some when developed. I'll have to buy a digital camera to make it easier to send pictures. That's it for now. Just wanted to let you know that all is well and that we love him very much already. Regards to everyone, June and All is well, in fact, it is great!! We love our "Skanky Hank" (after it rains), "Cantankerous Hank" (after he's been admonished) and "Hanky Panky" (used during those playful, mischievous occasions). He's a good boy and we love him. He has gained about 7 lbs. and looks great as his coat begins to grow in. A very athletic fellow, we're considering agility training. Who knows? Just wanted to let you know we love him and he loves us. Thanks for everything and hope all is well in TX. Regards, |
