Happy Tails Story & Photos submittal  guidelines

In order for us to process your Happy Tails story and photos, please follow these steps:

Print these instructions for future reference:

STEP 1

Gather together 4 digital images of your OES Adopted dog

 Only digital images are accepted.
Provide unedited, uncropped images at least 800 pixels by 600 pixels size -- we will edit and size your photos to best portray your OES.
Be mindful of providing photos with family members. Remember, this is an open website and for your protection, we would discourage family photos. By sending us your photos, you are granting us permission to publish them.
 Refer to our Photo Hints

STEP 2
Write a story about your OES Adopted dog

Please keep your story a 'reasonable' length. It cannot take up more than one page on the website.
We will refer to the OES by his/her new given name if it has changed from the OES name when adopted.
We will also refer to the OES by his/her OES name (unless you stipulate in the email to the Webmaster that you do not want us to.)
We will 'wordsmith' all write-ups before they go live, but will not change the context.

 Suggestions for your write-up:

  • Readers would love to hear your "Happy Tail" story of how your OES is doing today

  • Write from either your perspective or the dog's

  • What, if anything special, your dog has accomplished

  • How your dog has improved your family's life

  • How much your dog has overcome to be with you today

STEP 3
Email your digital images and story to texasoesrescue@hormail.com
Please enter Happy Tail for (Dog's Name) in the 'Subject' line of this email.
