| Earlier this year I came to a turning point in my life where things had to change. So I made a list of goals and dreams I wanted to accomplish. | ||

I told everyone that I
wanted to have an OES in my life again. So when my dad got an e‑mail
from Cindy with pictures of a new rescue pup, I took a peek. Even
though he looks more like a bearded collie, as soon as I saw 3‑month old
Harvey (a.k.a. Harley) I knew it was right. I thought, “That's my
dog.” It took a while to get Harvey to walk in a straight line while on a leash, but he soon helped me knock number three off the list. We speed walk every day with Sophie (another Happy Tail). And we always squeeze in a little indoor exercise in the evenings. I run around the living room couch as fast as possible and get chased. It's so much fun I usually start screaming! Most weekends Harvey,
Sophie, and I jog through a wooded park in Cypress. Sometimes fellow
rescue Livy joins us for one big run. If I ever miss a day of
exercise, Harvey lets me know it. We call him “The Shredder”. He
shreds paper finer than the best office machines. It's actually rather
helpful when my shredder gets jammed. Now at 10 months old,
the recently adopted Harvey has decided he wants to be a superhero for
Halloween, which is right around his birthday. I'll be designing his
costume pretty soon. With the raccoon mask he already looks like Zorro,
but we can' t find a Spanish Gaucho hat in his size, so we're going for
an Underdog look. Harvey has helped bring
about many positive changes in my life over the last six months. I owe
it to him to spoil him rotten. But no begging from the table! Tanya T |
