Well, I just thought I'd update ya'll (see, I haven't lost my accent yet) on what I've been doing here in Michigan. |
|
My mom, Susan, took me and my sister Skyler to the Kent Count Humane Society to meet this guy who said we were pretty nice dogs. 'Course we already knew that but it turned out that this was sort of a job interview. Next thing I know, I've got me a genuine name tag saying I'm a Humane Society volunteer and Mom started taking me to hang out with some nice folks at Welcome Home for the Blind. Man, I don't know why my ma ever grumbles about going to her job, 'cause this working thing is great! I get all these people ohhing and ahhing over me and everybody wants to feed me cookies. I always know when we're going there and I can hardly wait to get inside and start letting those folks pet me. Not all of 'em are totally blind, but they all have problems with their eyes and most of them are old and have other problems too. But I don't care. I love 'em all and when Miss Julia had to go to the hospital where my ma works, Mom took her a specially made card with my picture on it. |

Anyway, here's some pictures of me at work. Ya'll take care now, and thanks for helping me find not only a great home but a chance to make a difference in this here world. Sincerely, Joe |
