Miss Maggie is one lucky girl.
She was in a "kill" shelter in Victoria, TX (2 hrs. south of Houston).
She had been a homeless little girl, living on the streets before being
picked up by AC. Her picture was on Petfinder, and Debi who lives in
MA saw her precious face. Through Kim with Angel Paws Rescue, Dianna
with B.O.N.E. and Sherrie with TXOESR, rescue efforts kicked in to get
Maggie from TX to MA. She was to have a short stop-over at Sherrie's
before going to her forever home. However, she arrived at Sherrie's
with a very bad case of kennel cough. Alas, no flying until that
nasty cough was totally cleared up. Debi and Sherrie talked every
2-3 days during Maggie's recovery. It took one month for Maggie to
be totally clear of her cough, but then Wednesday, June 9, Maggie boarded
Continental Airlines to fly to her loving forever family. She is
finally HOME. |
