Dear Judy (Foster Mom),
I wanted to give you an update on how Marley is doing. He's making
significant progress every day. I"m so glad that we've had this time
together as a family. Marley is now very comfortable with me- follows
me around the house, gives me lots of kisses, snuggles in bed (when Rob
isn't looking!) He's been a doll. Recently he's showing his sheepdog
energy when we go outside- herding me, and running around in circles.
I"m sure it's hard without another dog to play with. He's even started
barking (a little)--a sweet sound that we hadn't heard. He's becoming
more responsive to the rest of the family-kisses and less retreating
when others approach him. He's really a lovely little one. Even Rob
welcomed some snuggling this morning. So, I feel he's starting to trust
us more and more every day. We all love him dearly and are happy to see
him opening up to us.
I'm looking forward to the day when we can begin some obedience
training. Not yet ready for that since treats are not yet a major
motivator. But I
feel like we're getting there.
So, that's an update for now. The kids and I go back to school
tomorrow, but Rob will be with Marley this week. I think it will be
good for them
to do some "male bonding"!
I hope you, Dennis, and Murphy are well. I'll continue to keep you
posted!
Warmest regards,
Shoshi
