Here is a bit about Macy. Weight 55 pounds
Macy was an owner turn in at a shelter. She is a beautiful sheepie!
When I first got Macy she was pretty thin and had a very bad ear
infection that had already caused some hearing loss. She is now a few
pounds heavier, and the ear infection has cleared up well. She even
responds to some tones. Macy has learned some signing very quickly,
she knows sit and no. I think having another deaf dog to learn from has
helped. I immediately put her on a really good diet and what a
difference that made. She was a picker/licker/chewer, I think she had
some allergy issues but on a good diet she is fine now. She is a good
girl, completely house broken and a good companion, with gorgeous blue
eyes that will melt your heart.

Macy is a very sweet, gentle, fun loving, two years young sheepie girl.
She is wonderful with children, other dogs and pets. She is eager to
please and very social. Macy just loves to be with people and other
dogs. She is not an alpha dog or dominant at all. She looks to my other
sheepies for the 'game plan'. Macy loves to run, be brushed, and go for
rides in the car. I have taken her in public several times and she is
very well adjusted and behaved. If you pet her she stops, drops and
rolls for the belly rub!

This sweetheart would be best suited in a home with someone who has
sheepie experience or is very familiar with the breed. If left with
nothing to do she will remove all covers from your bed and make herself
at home for a nap! (yes, I came home and swore I had made the bed that
morning, after resolving that I had lost my mind then figured out Macy
did not want the covers on the bed she was hot!!!) What a stinker! She
is still young and being partially deaf she needs a home where she will
get the attention and the continued training she needs. She would do
great with just about anyone, a family with children young or old,
retiree or single individual. Macy has really never met a stranger, she
is just sweet and happy to be alive! She loves other animals and would
be happiest with a playmate or friend to hangout with. She is well
adjusted and just goes with the flow of the day.

Macy has only minor needs/restrictions
·
she needs to have a very secure yard- 6' fence a must, she does like to
chase cars, or find the nearest body of water and go for a swim.
·
she absolutely has to be kept on a very high quality diet. She is
currently eating Innova Evo diet, along with some raw foods. This diet
has done wonders for her! |
