Thought you might enjoy seeing MaggieMae and Rich at the Frisco, Tx Humane Society "Barktoberfest".  They made the front page of the Plano Profile website and we made sure we mentioned she was adopted from your fantastic organization!

Hi, Uncle Steve,

Just thought I would send along a note wishing you and your family a very special holiday season.

I have been in my furever home for a little over one year now and I have never been so happy. I am very much enjoying my life and am always made to feel special (spoiled, some would say!). Finding my new furever home has been the bestest gift ever.

I have had a very exciting year. Mom and dad have had me in several training classes and have spent a great deal of time (and money as Dad continues to remind everyone!) helping me gain some structure and confidence. I still continue to have some difficulty in new situations from time to time but I am so much better adjusted than I was a year ago. I am determined to get over this “fear thing”, but, after all, I am still just a puppy at two years old. Just visited the puppy doctor for my annual check-up and came through with flying colors.  What more can I ask but to be happy and healthy!

I have enclosed a recent picture. It is amazing how much I have changed in the last year – guess love will do that for you.

I also wanted to send along a little something for my cousin Shamus to help him in his challenging journey to becoming a healthy and happy Sheepie.

Thank you again, Uncle Steve, for helping me find my forever home. There will be a very special place for people like you!

Love,

MaggieMae

P.S. Mom and Dad said to say hi and send along their best wishes and their eternal thanks for having the opportunity to bring me into their family.

Hope this finds you well.  Thought I would drop a line to let you know Maggie Mae is doing great.  She will take her Canine Good Citizen Test this Thursday.  We expect her to pass 9 of the 10 disciplines - not sure she will pass being left with a stranger for 3 full minutes.  She's so attached to Rich that I'm not sure she would pass that part if she were left alone with me!

We are honored to have Maggie on Happy Tails! You'll be as amazed as we are when you look back at her "original" photo compared to how she looks now.
