Well everybody,
I understand that you have heard
from my new "Forever Family" that I am doing just fine and that I
have settled in very well.
So, after almost a month here in
Houston I thought that it was time that y'all heard the REAL
story--straight from the horse's (sheepdog's) mouth.
It has taken me a little while to
research my new surroundings and to practise my tryping and speling
skils so that I could sind yew this massage.!
I will start with the most important part
- my new Forever Furry Family.

Sampson and Millie
Sampson, Sam for short, is my new
"partner in crime" and Associate Home Security Co-ordinator. As you
can see from the pictures he is a very handsome and distinguished 10
year old yellow lab. He accepted me into his domain immediately and
made me feel really at home. He told me that he used to have another
Bobtail partner in crime, Hollie, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge 18
months ago. He missed her a lot and that he was very happy to have a
new forever friend.
The first, and most important,
thing that he taught me was where the food was kept, when we could
expect to get fed and where I could get fresh water. ( I decided
against using his alternative water supply which is a big white
funny shaped dish with a seat and a lid !)
The first full day that Sam and I
were alone he sat me down on the couch and told me all the
other things that I needed to know like what days the trash men
come, what time the mail man comes, when UPS deliver in the street
and what days the yard crews come by. Since then we have been
practising our synchronised barking routine and, if I say so myself,
are getting pretty good at harmonising.
My other new forever furry friend
is a Grizzy. She is a petite 17 year lady kitty kat. She told me
that whatever Sam had told me, SHE is the real boss around here. She
sleeps a lot, spends as much time as possible snuggling on humans
laps and delegates most of the active security duties and
responsibilities to Sam and I. I suppose that really does make her
the boss !
My new forever home is really
"user friendly" -- a canine realtors dream. It is single storey with
a nice big bed that I can use in the master bedroom, a nice soft
doggie mat on the floor and a big 2 dog couch in the lounge. It has
lots of big windows in the front so that Sam and I have a good view
of the street and get advanced warning of trash men, mail men etc
and there are big picture windows at the rear so that we can see the
big back yard which we get to play in quite a lot. Sam and I are
currently working on our stealth squirrel stalking skills.
Well that's about it for now, my
new life here is everything that I could have wished for-- although
I do have one complaint--NOT ENOUGH FOOD !!
OOPS, the trash man distracted me and I nearly
forgot to tell you about my new forever humans !

Sampson, Reagan, Tonia
and Millie
Miss Tonia is my new Mommy. Like me, she is from Texas so
she must be OK ! She has had animals all of her life and has been
Sam and Grizzys Mom since they were tiny little critters. She gives
me body massages--they are WONDEEERFULLLL. She took me for a car
ride to the beauty parlor yesterday -- that is the REAL reason for
writing now so that you can all see how bootiful I look in the
pictures.

Johnny H is my new Forever Dad. He
is from England so I have had a few problems understanding his
accent. I thought that once or twice he called me MILLIE and because
I kind of liked it, but mainly to keep him happy, I have decided to
change my name. Millie said in an English accent makes me feel
quite ladylike.
JH tells me that he has been
previously owned by 2 Old English Sheepdogs and that he is familiar
with most of the challenges that we can present--BOY is he in for a
surprise ??!! I will soon get him licked into shape.
I really do have to go now I think
that I just saw a Fed Ex truck turn into the street !!
Woofs and licks to Y'all
