Her new forever parents will need to see that Princess is trained as she is a bit independent and has clearly been allowed a great deal of personal freedom.  She is still in the puppy stage and will chew on anything that is left in her sight.  She can sit on command and will lie down but that command takes some coaxing (and some treats).  When she arrived she liked to jump on people but she understands the word no and tries to stay calm when people arrive; I think she is just so happy to have someone pay attention to her that she just can’t control her excitement!  We have outdoor cats that seem to get her attention but I cannot say that she likes or dislikes them as they are a bit afraid of her.

Princess is an owner turn-in. Due to unfortunate circumstances Princess's owners were unable to keep her.  She was turned over to TXOES Rescue on Monday 6/12/06.

Foster Mom Diane:

Princess has been living with us for about a month and is starting to settle down.  A shy girl, at first, she was a bit skeptical of her new surroundings.  Arriving to her foster home during a terrific Texas thunderstorm, she willingly met her three four-legged roommates without much of a formal introduction.  Oh, yes, and she took a couple of accidental plunges into the pool on her way in the house.  Now she keeps her distance from the pool but does spend time standing in our fish pond!  Her new parents will need to be aware of her attraction to water to ensure her safety.

She is an affectionate, playful and extremely bright young OES.  She plays with other dogs as well as just about any toy you can provide.  Being young, she is distracted easily.   She absolutely loves being outside, running and chasing squirrels along with Dusty and Patrick.  Her favorite place is next to someone, two legged or four.

It is my belief that Princess will make someone an absolutely loving, fun and intelligent lifetime companion given the proper care, love and training.  We will certainly miss her when she finds her forever home for she has found a spot in our hearts that will always be reserved for her.
