Shag is doing just fine. He seems to be happy and has fit right in, I'm
even having a hard time calling him Shaggy instead of Badger. Maddie and
Shag are playing here and there. She can only take it for about 5 or so
minutes and then she is ready for him to stop. Corbett takes him for
walks in the back yard everyday when he gets home from school. He claps
his hands and says come Shaggy, and he follows him around the back yard
everywhere he goes.
We are working on training, he seems to do well with sit and will even
shake your hand. Stay is slow going, but we will keep working on it.
The exercise pen has been great. I put his toys and his kennel in
there with the door open and leave him in there anytime we are not at
home. So far so good there, no accidents (in the exercise pen anyway)
and nothing chewed.... He has had a few accidents outside the pen but we
are working on that too. He has learned to use the doggie door from the
outside in, but has not quite figured out that he can use it to go
outside as well..... And of course, just as I said he has already
established Mom as his favorite, he follows her step by step everywhere
she goes.
