Zoe (aka Eva) is the love of our
lives. She is such a special dog with a sweet spirit. Our three
children adore her. Zoe came to us very ‘shy’ and reserved. The first
time she dug in the trash, we celebrated, because she was acting like a
'normal' dog! (We then learned to put the trash out, or in the pantry
overnight.) She has become very attached to me and follows me like a
shadow. She walks beautifully on a leash. She now LOVES to run fast
and play hard (as long as the ‘men’ of the family aren’t watching.)
She loves to be silly and have fun. She is very gentle with her lovies,
she has a few. Her favorite possession is her peanut butter bone…but she
loves her bunny too!
Zoe is very well mannered and
never chews anything that is not hers, never has ‘accidents’, and has
never shown an ounce of aggression toward anyone. Zoe has favorite
corners of the house from which to sit and observe the daily
happenings. She is beginning to come out of her corners to be with her
people more and more.
The really great thing about Zoe is that she has helped our son, Nick,
come out of his shell. We adopted Zoe thinking that we were doing a
great deed in rescuing her….it turns out in many ways, she rescued us.
We are continuing to work to help Zoe become a 'balanced' dog. We are
so thankful for your organization and the wonderful work you do. Thank
you for our Zoe.
